Support My Work

It took me a long time to see the value of my work.

It might not be as tangible as a beautiful piece of furniture or a billable service like editing, but crafting an essay, a book, or another piece of writing that entertains, enlightens, or evokes requires labor.

More specifically, my labor.
It’s hard to put a monetary value on words and for the most part, I don’t. But by shying away from that, I’m devaluing my writing, my time, and the labor involved.

There are many ways you can support my work–and that of other writers and artists.
  • Reading, sharing, and commenting drives engagement and in this algorithm-driven world, helps to get our work in front of new eyes.
  • Buying our books –or borrowing them from the library–recommending, and reviewing them online is a great way to show your support.
  • Another option is direct financial support in the form of subscription fees, tip jars, monthly pledges, or one-time monetary donations.

I’ve always maintained that I write for a loving rather than a living, but I’ve realized that valuing my work–and asking others to do so–is important too.

Thanks for your support, however you show it!
